Back in the beginning there were no valve springs specifically for the sohc 750, so others were used that had way too much pressure. The bolts thru the cam towers helped keep them from coming loose. Once we and others made springs designed specifically for the 750, it was no longer necessary.
Speaking of valve springs...I was an old Honda die hard but techno wise have been out in the cold ( car racing industry) for over 15 years, suddenly realised I need to find my roots back on a Honda. Over the past few months I have been soaking things up from this forum and contacting some suppliers and two BIG things have struck me in contrast to the car scene !
1. None of the cam / spring suppliers advertise spring pressures.
2. Achieving zero leakdown is not in the lingo
Could you shed some light on why the bike industry dont talk spring pressures in general advertising,
