Where to buy OEM float bowl gaskets.
« on: April 19, 2012, 12:41:55 PM »
I'm looking for a good place to buy the oem float bowl gaskets. I recently rebuilt the carbs using the keyster kits (I only used the gaskets, all the jets and everything else is oem.) I cleaned them from top to bottom them used the keyster float bowl gaskets...when I got the carbs back on the bike it was running like a champ, however afterwards, I had a huge leak in carb 3. I pulled the float bowl and the keyster gasket was like 2x bigger than it originally was. Cheap ass rubber just expanded when it touched gas I assume. Anyway I just want to get the right oem gaskets, does anyone have a link? I checked on bike bandit, all they had were oem gaskets for the honda CB350G. are the float bowls the same size?

Part #3 in this diagram, they didn't have 350F to select, not sure if there's a difference in the carb, but sure you could find the original part number in a manual to reference. These are OEM 10 a pop and looks like you need 2

that's a 350 twin.
The 350-4 carbs don't have a separate bowl gasket available from Honda. You need the complete carb gasket set, GASKET SET 16010-333-315. This includes all the carb gaskets and O-rings. You need four of these kits.

I just did this for a 550. I went to an industrial supply house (Applied Technologies, Old Bearings Inc) and bought .070" Viton (fuel resistance) O-ring cord. Then cut to length and used super glue to glue the ends together.  Works great. Been doing it this way for years never had a leak. Stuffs cheap compared to Ebay stuff.
