Just how fast

will an Automatic go?

Just for something to talk about. ::) ;D

Geared way down for acceleration, my auto crosses the line at 115mph with 10,000rpm on the tach.
Last weekend, it suck wide open when I rolled it off and reached around 13,500rpm before it shut down. (yes I did poo myself) ;D
Geared back up and given the distance (the 115mph was at 440 yards) just how fast might it go ?
Your suggestions please ;D ;D ;D

When you ride through on your way to Bonneville please stop in and get me. We can try both of them. I figure 117 or 118 at the least  ;)
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Horsepower drops off rapidly above 10k. It's a naked bike. My educated guess would be around 15 mph increase maximum. I've gone 124 and change in the quarter. With the right air, 125 is possible. I've got a quarter fairing and at least 15 more horses to the rear wheel. Bonneville gearing, I'd guess around 140 for my Hondamatic. Sam probably got in to the high 120's. We have a mile and a half runway (Loring) that bikes and cars use to test top speeds on. Plenty of shutdown after it. I believe that we had a 311 bike pass there. Sam, are you considering changing sports? ;) ;) ;)

CV's stuck wide open? well, that's news....

none of my CV equipped bikes, Gpz's, Gsxr's, VFR  had a return cable.

how much RWHP does the samauto have at the end of the day? got a pretty clear speed vs. hp graph hidding somewhere.
