CB750K four with stuck engine - rebuild

Hey all, Today I'm starting my first ever rebuild of a cb750. I just bought it, but the engine suddenly got stuck on the highway ramp. Good motivation to do a rebuild it cuz i gotta take it apart anyway. no? Don't know why it got stuck. oil level was fine, no apparent overheating. Does anyone know what else could have caused the engine to get stuck? the transmission is fine,  but kick starter doesn't move an inch.

yeah, happened at 40mph... luckily i was out of the curb and immediately had the response to clutch.
So... progress; I unhooked all the cables from the engine today, got the air filter out, and spent 3 hours trying to get the oil filter housing off... The bolt was rusted badly and I screwed it up trying to take it off. I'm not the first-one, I noticed ( http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=78089.0 ) I think I'm gonna saw the hex nut into a rectangle and use one of those self locking pliers to try and turn it. I also put some liquid wrench on it today and hit it a couple of times with a hammer. No luck though.

could the engine hydrolock during driving?
