Hello all.
I've just got running my fully rebuilt CB550. The bike is a K3, and the carburetors are the PD type, the later ones. I didn't adjust ignition, not carbs, just turned the key on, pushed the buttom and it started almost at the first try and sounded good. So, I begun to adjust things, and noticed that the pilot screw were totally loose, almost outside of the thread, so I screwed them inwards totally, and unscrewed them 1 and 1/2 turns off, according to the manual. The bike runs with the choke on, but it doesn't maintain idle, even screwing in fully the idle screw, so, my question is, what did I do when I screwed the pilot screws in, did I make the mixture richer or leaner? Should I leave the screws loose, as it was at the beginning?
Thank you.
