Hey I just paid $150 for a repro airbox for my 400 that I may never get around to using, so I guess that does put it all into perspective!
I hope you do use that airbox..it should run good w/ it.

$300 is a score, it's a no brainer at that price.

Sounds like we struck gold yesterday!  Yep, Rickman Matiesse with a Victor 441 in it.  He's gonna enjoy putting around the farm on that!

Just called up the gentleman again to confirm everything.  I asked if I could come bring him the cash and he said "you ain't got to worry about that, yung'un, see you on Sunday afternoon."  So looks like it's all set.

He might change his mind about keeping it when a guy comes along and offers him a trade for an XT500 ++ $5K..What an Excellent Deal he got & that PO would be someone I'd like to meet some time,he seems like a Fine Gentleman.

Good bartering! Great deal! The guy just got $300 bucks for cleaning out his garage. If it were me I'd be more than happy to look for the rest of the clutch parts for you. :)

If it were me, though, I would take the whole engine apart and go through it. It's been sitting for 28 years without oil in it. Who knows what's rusted up on the inside. Still a great deal, though.

Nice find. It don"t look like it will take much to get it going. If you need some help with the clutch parts, let me know. I have them laying around.

Awesome, guys, thanks.  I'll be picking it up tomorrow.  I talked to him again and I think we'll be able to find the rest of the clutch in the garage--there's a box of parts right behind the bike.
