oil tank vs leg
« on: April 27, 2012, 04:07:49 PM »
Does anyone have any problems with the stock oil tank without any covers on a 750 or whatnot being up to temp. and touching your leg? I don't imagine it getting that hot but I'm just being cautious. Although I'm rebuilding a cb750 from nothing I've never rode one yet LOL

People run them like that all the time.

Wasn't there a couple of years that didn't have side covers over the oil tank? Or am I thinking of a different bike?

On my 1978 CB750 the oil tank is flatter and does not stick out as far as the earlier models.
