New member from South Carolina
« on: April 26, 2012, 10:06:04 AM »
Hi everyone.  My name is Brian and I live just outside of Clemson (go Tigers) in SC.   Born and raised in the UK I have lived in the US for 34 years.  I have been a biker since I was 16 when my parents bought me a 200cc Triumph Tiger Cub.  Since then I've had Triumphs, Nortons, BSA's, Royal Enfields and many others.  I am now 68 years young and have just bought a 1980 CB 650cc (17K).  A "Four" has been on my "bucket list" for years - ever since 69 when a new 750 blew past me and my 600 Matchless twin.  I love to ride and am within 60 minutes of the Blueridge Parkway in NC which I swear was designed by a biker.  Believe me - there is no better way to spend a day than on a bike in the Smokey Mountains.  Glad to meet you all.

Welcome to this great forum. Nice guys and plenty of info here. Not to far from you in Greensboro, NC. Never had a 650, but Wardenerd and Blueridgerunner have two nice ones. Check with them they can tell you anything you want to know about these bikes ;D Post some pics of you bike when you can.

dhall - thank you for the welcome.  Been navigating the web site for last hour or so and have a few questions.  1) does SOHC4  have meets and rides and where do I find that kind of info?  2) you asked about a pic - how does one go about that?  3) what exactly is the world tour and how does one get in on that?

thanks - brisybri

If it sounds like I know what I'm talking about, it's because I cut and pasted from someone else.
