750 K3-6 All Balls spacer question
« on: April 29, 2012, 02:30:48 PM »
I have the stem in the freezer and am ready to put it back together tonight.  I searched, but couldn't find a thread that specifically addressed the 750 K3-6.

I disassembled my K4 some time back without measuring the thickness of the stack.  Which spacer (thick or thin... that came with the All Balls kit: 22-1011) should I put on under the lower bearing?  Should I use one of the spacers at all?  Thanks.

Scratch that... I finally found a post where Johnie used the small spacer on a K4 he had.

It's the same for all years.  You need the thinner spacer under the lower bearing.
Here's a shot of mine being installed. I used a piece of PVC and the extra thick spacer to drive on the bearing.
