You asked what term to use in the search!   ::)
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Hate to be a buzzkill, but "bike in the woods" with missing painted parts = stolen.  A title may be unobtainable.  Run the VIN past your local PD.
Go metric, every inch of the way!

The guy that owns the land it was on is retired. In his 70's. one of his kids owned the bike many years ago and then just moved on and the bike sat behind. Then people payed him for the bike a year ago and they only took what they wanted and this was left behind.

It was more work but then again I can customize it more. Last time I had a time frame to get it going and stuff. I didn't meat the time frame and needed the money. Now, this is more long term and can only work on it occasionally while I am at my day's in MI.

ok, that's cool. right on.
but you can see what i'm getting at. i believe the guy who bought that 74 from you is going to have to ship it to the UK. so he obviously felt it was a good deal, with paying you and paying shipping overseas. that was a great opportunity to restore that bike and make a bunch of money. but i get it, work sucks and robs our time to work on bikes. you have a blank slate now to create anything you desire.

Yep yep. I'm just deciding if I can't get this motor to rotate or if I need to rebuild.

If I rebuild I would like to go bigger. ..600

Update:
No work has been done because I haven't been back to Michigan. Now by the time I go it will be to cold out to do something serious. I will be there in a week or 2 and going to try and take the motor off the frame so I can atleast work on that over the winter.

I like the 650 idea but haven't come across any around here. Maybe just do a 600 kit or something.
