Carb Valve Seats
« on: April 27, 2012, 11:25:54 PM »
Hey folks!

I have my 1979 cb650, and I would like to know if it's possible to replace the valve seats in the carburetors? I have one that looks pitted, and another that looks like someone tried to pull it out, and there's scrapes on the inner wall...

I've looked everywhere for a place to buy them, no luck. If it is possible to get knew ones, where can I buy them? Second, how does one remove them? Since I assume they're pressed in, do you have to destroy them to get them out?

Thanks!

Does anybody know?

If they can't be removed, and the walls of the seat where the needle goes... and the needle slides in and out okay... is it going to mess it up?
