I left work early yesterday to get my bike to DMV. It was the first afternoon I can remember down here that was sunny
First stop was the gas station for a tank fill up. On my way to DMV, I started noticing a sag like i was running out of gas at 50 mph or so. I popped the gas cap and it quit doing it. I'm sure I checked the air passage but you never know I guess. The more pressing matter is the clutch. You have to rev it pretty high to take off and it jerks real bad. In automobile lingo, I'd call it launch shudder. Seemed to be ok once it got going though. Seemed to worsen as it got hotter too. When I got it home I wedged the front wheel against my Suburban, put it in 5th gear and let the clutch out. It stalled which is good but it looks like I got some clutch work to do. At any rate, the bike is registered, insured and road legal so now my road tests don't have to be short treks to the end of the road. And while not a looker by any means, I already got a lot of looks and one guy stopped at DMV saying he had a 750 back in the day.
