brass fuel restrictors 1977 cb750k

good afternoon,my question is are the little brass tubes in the fuel lines that connect the carbs together necessary,or can i just use fuel line without these little restrictors,this is on a 1977 cb750k.Thank you for any help

The brass tubes are necessary if you want all the accel squirt nozzles to spray the same amount.  I do.  It's a fluid dynamics thing.  To maintain pressure, you need diameter restriction over length and the rigidity also helps over rubber characteristics.
