SOHC 750 rebuild tip

Just an FYI to newbies rebuilding bikes with remote oil tanks. Have a look inside through the filler hole and see how much sludge and metal filings are living in there. Way down at the bottom. You may want to take it off and rinse it out with varsol until it runs clean. Some guys rebuild an engine and wonder why their oil is dirty so fast after the rebuild.

Shouldn't be too dirty. Oil change involves removing the tank drain plug at the bottom and emptying it.

You think it's actually "empty" Paul? Drain one for a couple days and thenToss it in the front seat of the Wife's car LOL

My drain plug is siezed up good.  My tank was off for a while and left to drain.  I think I'll flush it out soon.
