Hi everybody,

I'm restoring my cr750 and I'm looking for rubber inlet pipe.
My carbs are sandcast.

I don't think so. I know Daniel. I know also his CB750 Racing.

I worked for George and RC174 engine redesign and testing dyno and track... thats why...

I m close to start the CR but 970 parts are out of stock...

Hello Julien

Welcome aboard

These are the carbs I have on my CR750

The carbs have been racked for the CR900 and hence there is a larger gap between cylinders 2 and 3 than there is between 1 and 2 or 3 and 4. To compensate for this I used Mikuni inlet rubbers supplied by Mark McGrew of M3 Racing. If your carbs are racked specifically for the CR750 I believe you can force the standard inlet rubbers on, but you better have a hearty breakfast beforehand because it's not easy. Give Mark a call or e-mail. He uses the username of KOS (King of Speed) on here. I'm sure he could help or at least point you in the right direction.

To be back to the Sandcast carb CR31 the outside Ø is 40. This will be impossible to use the Std pipes.

I've measured a set of standard Honda CB750 inlet rubbers which came out at 35mm internal diameter at the carburettor end and 32.5mm where they fit over the inlet stub on the cylinder head. I've also got another set that look the same, but measure 39mm at both ends. They would obviously fit your carbs but are too big for the CB750 cylinder head. I suspect they may be for the CB900, but somebody on here may be able to confirm.

Hi Eric,

My carbs are from the HM300-970 Kit sand cast and matched CR750 on the top of the plate.
The original CR750 had special rubber pipe in 300-970 ref.

But you are right, most of the CR replica are using CR900 keihin carbs for kawasaki modified.

I have to find a solution.
