« on: May 05, 2012, 12:05:12 PM »
So,My spare motor is no.2521601,am I correct in the year? And can I use my 72K carbs (bigger slow jets and main, say 120??).I have both pods and airbox, this is going to be for my rat bar hopper,so looks is a plus(pods)These are the only carbs I have at the moment, and I would like to use em if they'll work??

Looks like you have a early 1976 F motor. The 1976 F serial numbers start at 2515094.
There should also be a 392 number cast into the cylinder head.

The carbs should fit whether it's an F or a K motor.

The carbs are the same, only the jets differ.

Including the needle and needle jet, not to say you can't make it work though, but the mains and clip positions are an easy do.
