77-78 750 Measured Caliper piston size
« on: May 05, 2012, 06:21:52 pm »
Ive been looking for a stainless replacement, and I know they are hard to find.  I measured the piston as 42.8mm diameter by 34mm long.

I found a Yamaha F model aftermarket stainless piston listed as 42.8mm diameter by 33.05mm.  Am I missing something or with this work?  It looks like it will as long as my measurements are ok.  Can anyone chime in and confirm the piston size?  Thx

Heres a link in case this works and anyone digs this up(second piston down on the left):

as long as the diameter is the same, .95 of a mm in length is not going to be a big drama
