Neat. You can always find some way to make anything work in a plumbing department.
A few Honda 500's, a few Honda 550's, a few Honda 650's, '72 cb 450, a couple 500/550/650 hybrids, and 2001 750.

« Reply #201 on: November 06, 2012, 04:17:17 PM »
since my last post, Been busy moving bikes from corner to corner. Trying to make some room out of a small back yard. Unfinished fish pond hole from PO that was filled with trash and old buckets of paints and chemicals. sorry for being off topic, just want to show my determination of love for sohc4. None of these crap piles will ever get cleaned up if not for the Hondas

Portion of the pond

At least 3 trash bins full of chemical and paint.

And I transformed my back yard into this

Well, as far as the bike goes. Just picked up new battery from Walmart. All I need is fuel and charge up the new battery.

I'm scared to fire it up!

Haven't continued my journey with the blinkers yet.

Use a trickle charger. You're lucky, my wife would have a fit if I stored bikes in the yard!

I really hope the plan is to sell some of these bikes if you are truly out of work.

Anyway, it's a great collection you have. I hope you get Sencha going soon.

Oh yes I'm out of work alright, collecting unemployment, spending my savings...problem with me was that when I used to work full time, I always missed out on great bike! One time I missed out on a non running blue Sandcast That was only $900, I was stuck at work.  I'm not afraid of spending money, knowing that one day I would recuperate some if not all of my money back. Im actively looking for work, and when i'm back to work force, I know I won't have time to to go out and buy bikes. Good deals always gone quick.

Yes, the Suzuki gs550 is for sale, just haven't had time to sort out the carbs yet.

Here's 1975 CB750F, sat in my car overnight and finally got helping hands to unload from the Element

As for Sencha, I'm just really nervous to fire it up.

Don't be nervous, be proud , you worked your a$$ off on that machine. I would like to see first fire, can you video it for us?  There is nothing like a reborn, everyone loves them, even if sometimes they are a kinda funny looking, have you picked a godfather yet? Can't wait to see, it's always an exciting time.

So are the Lesters a prerequisite for the new purchases, or just a happy coincidence???  :o

And don't worry about the nervous feeling, it quickly turns to excitement.

Ok. You guys got me there. Not afraid to see it runs, but afraid that it won't.  That's why I let it sit dry and started on my second project in case you haven't seen the thread.

Will be taking a trip up north to SF Bay area tomorrow, just keeping a friend entertain and taking turn driving.  Hopefully I don't see another bike to pick up along the way.

Also going to middle of CA for job interview at a corporate office on Friday. Wish me luck. Again, hopefully no bikes along the way.

earliest I can do video on starting up the bike may be Monday, we'll see.

Not sure I understand what you're trying to say here.  It's like saying I'm not afraid to stay at home, but I'm afraid to go to battle.  Just fire that sucker up and see what happens.  You'll never know unless.

Goldarrow,
No, I haven't seen your new thread on a different project.
But I have seen that you have been able to stuff full size motorcycles in a mini van somehow, and you have done it on more than one occasion, which has always made me wonder if you had to jack up the drivers side and shake the vehicle until the bike came out the sliding door opening?
Anyways, your thread is incomplete, and you're holding subscribed readers hostage until it fires. Not fair to us but could be worse for you. You are now at the point of owning many machines, nice machines, all of them need work . This is the point where project guys get overwhelmed  by the time ,dollars and effort that it will take to get these machines operational. I'm not saying that you ARE one of these guys but you could be if you don't get something finished soon. It's a friendly warning to another enthusiast who may not see it coming that's all.

Oh NO! What have I done! Or rather, what have I not done?! I better start it up in the next day or two. But please accept my apology, I'm truly sorry to my readers, making no more excuses to start it up, and that I have zero intentions of abandoning my build thread. Thanks RB for reminder,  always good words from you. Lesson learned.

Rough crowd in here!  Bet Gold is traveling again and comes home with another project in that soccer mom van!

Tough crowd you guys are, but you guys are still nice cyber folks to chat with, I feel like I'm at home.

Lots of driving for past two days. Saw a 1973 ST90 needs restoration. Almost bought it, but spot a what appeared to be a jb weld patch repair on top of engine.

I thought I have been driving a mini UPS truck, except that it's green. Need 2 strong guys to push bikes up a ramp, and two strong guys to shake it out the back. I guess I'm strong lol ;D

Interview this morning went well I think. But you never know until they actually call you back for round 2

So here is new battery unboxed getting acid and charging up. Instruction in manual is fairly straight forward.

Just make sure you don't come in contact with the acid.
