1975 cb550 Project SENCHA - Let's Go Riding!
« Reply #275 on: January 03, 2013, 05:57:52 PM »
Carbs sync tool is coming in tomorrow.  I think I'll be ready by week end. Watch out. Hot shot is coming.....lol

For those that have been following my threads reading about my bike build, and life matters. Well, I was unemployed back in September, then in November I took 3 hours drive to go interview. Now comes January finally getting couple of phone calls from them.  Not finalizing the deal yet but hopefully tomorrow will be the last call and good news along with it.  Struggles I have been going through with this bike may be coming to an end.

got the carbs sync about a month ago.  didn't get a chance to really take it out for full test ride, other than short ride around the block.

so today finally got the bike out to my new work place, 50 miles one way commute.  this thing is a blast! except i picked to ride on a windy day  :P

once i parked my bike, did a quick inspection on the motor, got oil weep between the cylinder and head gasket on the left hand side :(  also oil came out of the right side cam shaft cover :( oil oil oil :(

also note that my license plate ended with a 9, if it was 5 it would have been so cool!

Good to see her out on the road. It's too bad about the oil weep... I'm really really really hoping mine doesn't leak first try but it seems that lots of guys' builds do. So, you are not alone.

Lester 20100 rear wheel is a direct swap over the stock wheel. Front wheel is 6 bolt pattern and fit many Honda sohc4 bikes.

Problem may be finding them.

The Kawasaki wheels look just like Lesters, unfortunately they are not a direct bolt on. I know that others here have adapted them to use on their SOHC4, but it takes some work.
