Simply said, what is a good way to clean off the years of grime and dirt that have accumulated over the harness without damaging/ corroding any connectors?  Just a simple degreaser?

Simple green, hot water, and a toothbrush. Blow out/off with compressed air. They come out looking almost new. plus a little di-eletcric grease when you re-install especially the large connectors

I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.
