Emission/oil hoses routing and where to get new
« on: May 08, 2012, 02:22:05 PM »
Getting close to having the motor complete. (74 750k) I saved all of the old crankcase and oil tank hoses i was wondering if there was a emissions hose routing schematic? I was also wondering what you guys were replacing these old brittle hoses with. They are discontinued through honda. I dont mean the braided hoses from the oil tank to the block, but all others will need to be replaced. I am looking for as close to stock as possible. Pics, thoughts and part #s welcomed. Thanx

I don't know about your bike but for mine a 78 750. There is a diagram in the factory service manual. Have you looked? There are a couple of guys that will know TT Dave500 and I'm sure others that can help. So here is a bump.

When these Honda CB750 motorcycles were produced there were no emissions system schematics stickers and it was not in the manuals in any organized way.

The story is more complicated but I will not go into it.

For you all you have to do is get the two hoses from any source you find hoses for sale.

There is the breather hose on the top of the cylinder head. Goes to atmosphere or to the top of the stock air cleaner box.
And the oil tank oil return hose or breather air /oil /seperator going from the oil tank to the back of the engine into the crankcase. Thats it.

The CB550 is just slightly different.
Just find any automotive hose or clear tubing, or colored tubing that is available.
