1973 CB750k Tank on a 1976 CB750K
« on: May 06, 2012, 08:12:37 AM »
I have read the post relating to putting a earlier model K tank on a 1975 or 1976K, but I was interested in a bit more detail on how the issue of the 2 fuel lines down to 1 fuel line has been addresses... I envision a "Y" fuel fitting to reduce the 2 lines down to 1 for the one fuel line set-up on the 76.
I assume that by doing this the fuel delivery would be proportional... but I may be overthinking it.  But then again both petcocks must have been designed with some flow rate in mind.
If anyone has actually done this I would be curious on the details and some pics would be great.

;)  Just do it.  Remember, both those petcocks were designed to feed four carburetors.

That is my plan, I am going to see what is readily available at the auto parts store.
A Y fitting will not work unless I can find one that has 2 inlets at one size and an outlet that is double the size of one inlet.

just get a y or t that takes the correct hose sizes to fit your petcock and carb inlet...I am thinking they are roughly the same...don't worry about not having enough fuel supply, it will be fine...unless you have a very thirsty engine, and then the stock carbs don't flow enough air anyway...
If it works good, it looks good...
