« on: May 09, 2005, 05:40:20 PM »
hey,
how do i get the timing chain apart or off, there doesnt seem to be a master link... and the slots are two small in the top gear to slid the cam into enough to remove the cam... a little frustrated after 3 hrs of looking marking and fiddling????? also if anyone has the correct settings for a cb500 that would be awsome!
thanks joe

Go here and download your Service Manual.  It outlines how to position the cam in relation to TDC when you're doing the top-end.  The position of the chain of course doesn't matter (so long as it's on the sprocket!).
