Have my 77 550 F fork dampers been modified?
« on: May 05, 2018, 04:55:26 AM »
So on the parts diagrams that I've looked up online, it only shows one hole (2 holes total per damper assuming hole goes through other side) at the bottom of the fork damper. Mine seem to have total of four 3/16" holes per damper in them. Can someone confirm that this is not stock and these have been modified by a PO? This would explain why my progressive springs always seemed very soft. Thanks for any info!

(3/16" drill bit for size)
