Anybody familiar with dealer auctions for vehicles ?  Or better yet, know anybody that has one in the DFW area ?

I'm looking for a fairly nice 1995-1997 Toyota Landcruiser to make into a expedition/camp mobile.

Found several, but they have all been trashed.    I know a nice one will turn up eventually.
Vehicles that old usually don't end up on the dealer lots because they are too old and have too many miles for banks to loan money for them.

What happens to them ?
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

Set up a google e-mail alert for the car and then search terms limited to Craigslist.org.  You might find one close enough to Dallas, you will see ones come up all over the country as they get posted.

Other than that, maybe call up a few Dealerships and ask them to let you know if one comes in trade that will go to the wholesale.

I bought new in 1982 a FJ60, paid $8,400.00 for it.

Traded it in in 1990, dealer gave me $ 7,900.00 trade in value, it had only 60k miles on it.

The only vehicle I have ever had that cost almost nothing to own.
