I did a little more on that nasty set of carbs today.
I had to use a hammer and punch to get the float pins out. Then pliers to pull the float needles. I pulled the slow jets using vice grips.
I am still not ready to disassemble this rack. probably during the next cleaning session.
Here is the rack after sitting in simple green for 10 hours. Only 3 of the 4 would fit into the container I had.

It is obvious that much work remains to be done. After I have gotten most of the crud out using simple green, I will finish the clean up with carb cleaner.
