Topic: Quick one, Is a CB550F headlight the same as CB350F headlight?

Hi All, I'm struggling to find a CB350F headlight here. Is a CB550F 1975 headlight the same as CB350F headlight?

Or which other headlight (complete) would fit?

Most of these old sealed beam lights are 5 3/4in. or 7in. diameter. measure yours. This may be a good time for a H4 conversion. If your charging system is up to it. With a 350 or a 550 this may be a challenge. Either way check the wattage of your old bulb and try to stay close to that on your new one what ever kind you go with.
edit  After a reread looks like you have the 350F. I would guess it is 5 3/4in. Do you still have the old one to measure? Or the bucket?

No, the 550 has a "normal" 7" lamp. The 350-4 and 400F (and a bunch of other smallish 70's Hondas) use a now rare size: 160mm or 6 3/8 I think.
You can still get the 33120-333-670 OEM sealed beam some places, I would ask at a Honda parts desk. There's also a H4 unit available from candlepower.com but this does not fit the OEM aiming ring mount, you have to McGuyver it in (not too hard). With a 35/35W H4 bulb (found at scooter shops) the resulting road light is much better that the stock unit. A higher wattage lamp is likely to overtax the anemic alternators on the 350/400 engines

Good call Bodi Also I just noticed he is over seas don't they have a different aim pattern for driving on the other side of the road? Did the one you gave the # for account for this? I don't know just asking.

when I bought the bike it had a cracked bucket with HM16-M on it and no lens.

I have been searching Ebay, but they all look the same. I'm thinking a Cb200 may fit?

Until I get the correct bucket I can't buy the lens.

The CB250, CB350 & CB360 will also fit;with the CB250/350 it will help to get the headlight case/bucket that matches your number from 1972'- & up K4 or K5.the older ones..K0-K3 are different & I know all the CB360 model headlights will fit.

I bought a new cb350 bucket from Sean @ Roc City Cafe racers and sourced the trim ring and lamp from eBay.
