DIY Carb Sync
« on: June 14, 2012, 01:39:40 PM »
Hi all,

made up a carb sync tool today (using heavy weight gearbox oil).  Worked like a charm.  What a difference.  Based on how smooth the throttle response and idle are now, it is obvious that the carbs/cylinders were fighting each other quite a bit before the sync.

New 38 press in pilots and accelerator pump  from Sirius Consolidated Inc. sure didn't hurt either.  (the stock 35's didn't like my Dunstall Decibel pipe too much).  It's like a brand new bike.

Thanks to all members (and their informative posts) for getting the knowledge out there.  I don't post much, but I read a lot....

You know the saying, "if you don't post a pic, it didn't happen"  So post one!!!

I'm imagining this is the setup described in the clymer manuals of old?

Good job!
