750F ring thickness - Updated
« on: May 02, 2012, 03:22:15 PM »
Hi Folks,

I'm shopping for top end options on my 78F.  The rings I removed measured as follows:

Top:  1.17mm
Middle:  1.13mm
Book thickness is a bit more.

I've seen on fleaBay someone selling the 392 rings as fitting the 78, but if someone has a set of 392 rings on the bench and a caliper nearby, I would appreciate it if they could just confirm the thickness of the top and second rings.

Thanks again folks.  I did do a search.  I just want to confirm something.

the rings for the 2cd half of 76 F models will fit and work.  the first half the thicker rings, midyear they changed to the thinner ones.

Ok, so there were only the two ring sets used in the F models, of which I need the latter.  I guess I'll spring for a set of the 13011-392-004 rings and see how it goes.

Thanks!

-392 are correct. Honda switched from the -300 rings late in the 76 F model year as mentioned. If you can find a SET for $90 you'd better grab them quickly! Good investment at the least.

I just received my rings and they measure as they should.  1.18 to 1.2mm thick.  So, I guess the 392 rings do work.  This set was on eBay for $92.00.
