Hello from the Great NW!
« on: June 11, 2006, 08:14:00 PM »
Hello everyone! I am from Vancouver,WA and I just purchased a 1973 Honda CB350F for $300. It is in pretty rough shape, but I am working on it. It was started to be made into a cafe racer, and I am looking to finish that with a little pizzaz. My son calls it spiderman (he is 5) and so I am going to theme it that way. The tank, sidepanels and front forks need a repainting anyway, so I am going to give it a spiderman twist.

Anyway, I was told about this site from a member of another board and said you guys are the ones to talk to when I have questions and I have questions! Though I am going to ask them in the correct forum tomorrow instead of here.

So, just thought I would say HI!

Hi tazzman.
Great to hear of another 350F (even if you do plan to mutilate it  ;)).
The guys here are really great if you have any problems or just to chat to.

I have a '72 350F which we are in the process of restoring to original.

I had thought about restoring back to original, but since someone has already put some work into it to turn it into a cafe racer and since I have no experience making a bike into a cafe racer, I thought I would have fun with it. Most bikes I get in are barn fresh and have destroyed. I take them, make them run good, get them to looking good and sell them. This is one that intrigues me, so thought I might keep it.

BTW, this is how it looked when I got it.

Don't let the picture fool you. It needs a lot of TLC. The carbs were is pieces when I got it. I am still trying to figure out where all the pieces go..
