Topic: neutral light

My green neutral light goes out and comes back on sporadically on my 1970 cb750.  I took the back of the tach to see if it was loose or was corroded but all looked good.  Where would the switch for the neutral light be located?  Is it internal or external?

It is under the engine, you probably have dirt/oil causing the intermittent problem...Larry
