New source for seat covers?
« on: May 13, 2012, 09:57:08 am »
So I just found these seat covers on ebay and I bought one for my 1975 550K. Sort of an impulse buy, but whatever.

Anyone ever buy a seat cover from "Tight Fit Seats" on ebay?
All of their seat covers are near perfect matches to the originals, with heat pressings instead of stitching for the patterns. They have covers for 400f's, 500k0s, 550's, 750's and several Yamaha and Suzuki 2-strokes from the 70's. And they only cost like $50. The outfit is based out of UK.

Seems legit. Take a look.

Here are some photos:

I'll be reporting back with my findings when the cover gets here, but just wanted to let everybody know about this new(?) find. New to me anyway.

Great, keep us informed. Also be aware 500/550 seats underwent minor modifications. In the Parts lists you'll find what seats are shared by what models.

Is the chrome trim included? If so, is it sewn into the bottom of the seat or just included to be installed separately?

No it's not included, but I found this as well and ordered it too.

Looks to be just what SOHCers need. Even though it's not integrated into the seat cover itself, it looks just like the original trim.

Here are some pics:

I also ordered their passenger strap buckles. $10.
