i withdraw that comment mick!!any chance that russ might have the wrong head or pistons to give such a low compression figure and the power loss?

I WAS THINKING MAYBE IT SAT FOR LONG TIME before i bought it and the valves on one cylinder got moisture in and went rusty and now that valve not seating properly as one pot is going to be open

i finished putting it together about a year ago . done a few 300 mile days and few of 100 miles days ridden it a bout 2000miles all up in 12 months

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

for interest sake to the guys that helped me , i put my bike on the dyno today
the speedo and tacho are right and it only has 42 hp at the rear wheels ,cause we think  being 341 pipes making it constipated  out and poor airflow in at the carby end
going to muck around for a few days  a try a few things
everything that i did was spot on
correct timing / jet size / air idle was a little out /valve clearances correct

any one want to buy a set of brand new 341 pipes done 500miles i bet not

The clutch isn't slipping with that load is it?

Then it would redline, but not accelerate.

Yeah, I didn't see anything pertaining to rpm, only speed and with the load of 5th that could cause slippage.

i checked all the data and a stock k4 engine puts out 41 hp at the rear wheel , pretty sad hey
