opinion on S.C.I.'s float bowl gaskets (Honda CB350F)
« on: May 26, 2012, 06:20:55 PM »
Has anyone ever used these? http://www.siriusconinc.com/pro-detail.php?pid=&product_id=1506

I ordered 4 gasket kits from Honda and cleaned / replaced all of the rubber in my carburetors with the oem kits, HOWEVER when It came to using the float bowl gaskets from honda the o rings I got were longer than what was needed. I would have to cut / epoxy them to get them to fit. (something I want to avoid) and these "Fitted" gaskets from SCI any good?

I cut and superglued gaskets for my 350f bowls for years without any issues, but the SCI ones should be great if you feel the need...

I cut and glued mine in.  I use three bond, which is a liquid gasket.  It works great.  The SCI gaskets do seem too long.  When you cut them, try to taper the cut so that the matching ends create an overlapping taper fit.  Mine have been leak free for three years and 6000 miles.
