Hey guys I appologize in advance for another one of these "help me identify my engine threads."  I have done quite a bit of research and comparison but wanted to ask some more trained eyes.

I purchased this bike a year ago and the previous owner seemed to believe that the owner before him had pieced the bike together from various other bikes

The frame as you can see in pictures is from a 1977 CB550k, but I wanted to confirm the year and model on the engine, as well as the carbs.

I have checked a few model guides, and gotten some conflicting information, so I wanted to settle it once and for all.

The serial on the engine is CB550E-1139754

This would lend me to believe (based on the model guide on this site http://www.sohc4.net/index.php/cb550/cb550-model-guide/) that the engine would be from a different bike (a 1977 CB550F)
1977 CB550F
Frame#: CB550F-210001-
Engine#: CB550E-1135380-

However, I have seen the serials listed that would place it as a CB550K as well as a 76 CB550F, so I wanted to double check.

Then the carbs, it looks like they are model 087A, seems as if these are a bit more rare is there a way to confirm the year etc on these?

Thanks so much in advance.

So my thoughts
Frame 1977 CB550K
Engine? 1977 CB550F
Carbs? unknown year 087A?

The 087A carbs came on the '76 550, most likely the K model. Definitely not on the '77.

I declare:

1977 CB550K frame  (modified)
1977 Cb550F engine
1976 Cb550K carbs.

Bike could have been built by Heinz, as they make 57 varieties.
