My focus on poetry has been French ish so far, the last seemed a bit British, still equally amusing.
I once met a lady from Massachusettes who shared their version with me ., also equally
amusing
It was a long time ago, so I'll try to recite it from memory.
There once was a man from Nantucket ,
,    hmmmm, may have something to do with a bucket,
                                   it was ages ago,
I'm not sure how it should go,
Just can't remember  So fck it.
Perhaps there is another scholar available that can recall this version.

Thanks KC , Yes, that is how it goes....has nothing to do with buckets.

Larry, You minored in lit. excellent! That would be like a doctorate on this thread right ?
Would the Professor care to grace us with his favorite poem?

You're right RB, I can dig it as my major was drawing and painting so I'd have to give Stev-o major props for that wonderful visual  description, but back to the original topic "why do some people find it necessary to respond to every post?" Why not?

MoMo     Has anyone done a mock psych eval on any of the over-respondents yet ?
There must be a certain common characteristic prevalent in a test group that will yield the answer to the question.
Though I fear the outcome of such an intense evaluation may have non conclusive results or worse case scenario , It could bring the entire subject heading itself into question.
What if by compiling all data on the question of "why some people find it necessary to respond to every post" lead us to the obvious answer that there was no flaws with the respondents at all .
 Hmmmm
Yes, that flaw lies solely in the question.
It should read "Why don't some people find it necessary to respond to every thread".
But, that seems like quite a larger matter over-all than the original question , with possibly endless consequences.
I believe there are grants available for studies of this magnitude. Perhaps that alone would be worth checking into.

who swallowed a packet of seeds,
within half an hour,
his dick was a flower,
and his balls were all covered with weeds.

And all I could offer was one questionable at best French -ish poem.

Mighty fine highbrow poems guys, keep it up and soon Byron, Emerson, Whitman, Yeats and the like will be replaced by Stev-o, Bobby, Retro and the sohc four(a group of literary gurus).   All Literature books will have to be rewritten, imagine the chaos in our liberal institutions of higher learning.

To properly do a survey we would need the government to appoint a group of unqualified, over-paid cronies to explore the ramifications of responding to or  not responding to every post.  Give them a couple years of investigative time but I think the proper philosophical conclusion would be "I stink, therefore I reek",  or was that I think, therefore I am"?  Not sure,  maybe I better set up a proper agency to ascertain the difference....MoMo(aka Larry)

Well that should be easy, we already have an entire government loaded with unqualified cronies , only problem is that it doesn't matter how much time we give them they'll never come to a conclusion.
