Yes mate, it was freezing cold (by Aussie standards) back in July, and now it's stinking hot. I don't remember when exactly I installed the Bandit brake parts, but the old FJ1200 actually stops now, which is a bonus!

Ha ha, well the weather here is a little unpredictable Steve, I drove from Canberra down to Bairnsdale today to visit my mum (mom) and it's only going to be in the forties (F) tonight, so I'll need to rug up!

Mid twenties and teens for the last few nights. It would be a good time to swap out bikes.

Yeah mate, sadly the cool respite was short lived and we've been back in the 90's for the last couple of days. I did have a nice ride home from the pub just after 1am this morning, but I can't work out why I'm so tired today?

I prefer to spend more on a 80 mph breeze on the bike at night over just airconditioning myself. It can even feel chilly in the low spots between the hills.

My highway pegs, hand grips and 18 inch rear wheel that I ordered for my Harley Sportster have finally arrived! Yay! Sadly I don't have a tyre for the new rear wheel yet as Jeff at Ace wouldn't answer his fcuking phone for the last two days, so fcuk it, I'll take the wheel back to Canberra with me and get a new 140/70-18 Pirelli Sport Demon fitted so I can install the wheel next weekend when I'm back in Melbourne. I'll do the pegs today though, geez I could have used them two weeks ago when I rode down to the Phillip Island Classic! Cheers, Terry.

G'Day Steve, the current contract finishes on the 30th of June, but if the company I work for wins it again (and there's an excellent chance that they will) it'll go for another 5 years. The money is amazing, I've just moved into an apartment which is only costing me around 25% of the tax-free allowances that they're paying me, so no complaints there.

Yep, the down side is the weekly 13 - 14 hours driving, I could fly but I hate flying. (not the actual flight, just the waiting pisses me off) I've leased a new car that returns incredible fuel mileage, (around 40 miles per gallon for a big diesel SUV) and being the "top of the range" model, has all the comforts that make the trip more bearable.

If we don't win the next contract they'll put me into a position here in Melbourne, so it's a win/win for me, but I'm still enjoying Canberra, especially the freedom to jump on the bike after work and ride wherever I want without having to move several cars like I do at home. It could be worse...........

It's not brass monkey balls cold yet but in a few hours it won't be very good outside weather.

Actually, this thread turned into a fun joke, but if you read the first post, the op has a pretty good point. I can think of at least 4 members who post on nearly every thread that rarely have anything interesting, useful, or even correct to say. Fortunately, I can think of at least that many more, who's every post is a pleasure to read.
