Nice looking Bike.
Thanks Bobby, it should be a fun bike to ride, I really do love those big "L" twins, it has a ton of torque, and my other VTR1000 (in original guise) handles really well, and with 6 piston front calipers (not sure what they're off, I don't think the bike came with them, every other Firestorm I've seen only has 4 piston units) it should stop really well too.
Good news is that apart from the hydraulic hoses and a few other little bits it's just about done, even that unsightly muffler will be replaced with another Yoshimura unit that I found on eBay. Sadly it's a left muffler, (like mine, the owner dropped his bike on the right hand side and wrecked the right one) but I've pulled both of his mufflers apart to make one good right one out of the two.
I'm doing all my work out in the driveway at the moment with no shade, so I've had to come inside for a break after only 4 hours in todays 85 deg F weather, because I could feel my arms burning, (in the gap between my forearms and T shirt sleeves) and I was getting pretty dehydrated. I'll sneak back out later this evening and do a little more work once it cools down a little, as it's supposed to be raining tomorrow. Cheers, Terry.
