I tried to sign to other MC sites, but eventually got bored with lack of life and content there.

From my experience, in company meetings, the higher the number of participants, the longer the meeting. No matter if people has been invited just to listen and get informed of what's been going on; when somebody attends a meeting, he/she feels the urge to say something, even if it is obvious or has been said before. For one, it shows he/she has been paying attention and is up to date with the state of the business. And second, because otherwise he/she will look as nobody really important.

The same happens in forums with many members. The good thing about forums is that you can skip the posts and not read what you don't want to, but you can't shorten a meeting duration buy fast-forwarding the redundant information....

The only time I care about post count and that is when I want to purchase something from a member. Less than 100, no sale. 100-300 must have a good reputation but it does not mean I will purchase it. The basic minimum is 500 posts and I will consider the sale. 1000 posts I will trust. I will still review posts for reputation unless I am already aware of the reputation. Rant done!

Dang.  I had some land down in Texas to sell.  With an old barn full of bikes on it.    ;D

Once I responded to all of them just to see how many times I could get my name in a row before someone else posted. It wasn't really any fun after a dozen or so.

Mr Bimmler's great nephew is a friend of mine. We served in the Aussie army for many years together, he didn't find out until his grandmother told the family her secret on her deathbed. Her whole family had been dragged out of their home in East Prussia and shot by Russian soldiers, but she was at boarding school and a pro-Nazi organisation secretly moved her out of Germany, thru South America, and into Australia, where she changed her surname, and didn't tell anyone who she really was. I think my mate was still in shock when he told me, but I thought it was fascinating. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
