Geez I wish it was 30 deg C Michel, but no, that's 30 deg F mate, in the ancient language of the Druids......... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

In Australia, the further north you go, the hotter it gets, but sadly I live as far south as you can possibly go, without going over the  Bass Strait and landing in Tasmania, which is colder still. In summer we get temps up to 110 deg F (and sometimes hotter) but it's the middle of winter here, so daytime temps of 30-60 degrees F are pretty normal.

Today was nice, got up to around 60 and I had a great ride on my XR500, or at least I would have if my speedo was working and it wasn't running so lean. Ooh, and the rear brake was locking on, so I better do some maint and install the new brake shoes I bought last week.............. ;D

Ha ha, yeah, definitely no snowstorms to worry about here, although I have seen snow on the outskirts of Melbourne in some winters. If I want to see lots of snow I've gotta drive 3 hours up to the mountains, but I hate fcuking snow (long story) so I stay away from it whenever possible. I honestly can't think of anything good about the stuff........... ;D

What is good about snow; 1- it is white
2-it is refreshing to run in,
3-it hides crap you would rather not see
4-provides low paying jobs to locals in the winter (ski lift operators, parking attendents etc etc)
5-free way to keep beer cold when the power goes out :-)

When it gets really cold, ice forms on the ponds and you can ride  a Suzuki 350 with studded tires around and around and around spitting ice . Great fun, for sure.

Sorry guys, I'm sure that you only say you like snow because you don't have a choice, but as far as I'm concerned, any day under 60 degrees is a waste of a day.......................... ;D

Not so, Terry. I like snow because it only snows here every 5 years or so, and it's usually less than an inch and the whole City gets shut down!

Yeah, thanks guys, but you're not convincing me, do you know what "Stockholm Syndrome" is? That is the self brainwashing facility that the human brain is capable of, that convinces one self that black is white, white is black, and probably, that snow is good.

Take a look at Danny's Chevy Blazer in his Harley/Yamaha Scooter thread, the road salt has totally destroyed his car, (and his old MG, from memory) whereas most modern cars here don't rust, because we don't have snow and ice here every winter, and we can also ride our bikes all year around.

Snow might look innocent, but in truth it's an evil white frozen lava that destroys perfectly good Chevy's, and ruins lives.......... ;D
