Ran into a few of these on my bike this summer. An impact driver and a swift hit of a hammer got them out so I could replace them...

I have found a nice set of left hand drills overcome prior abuse and corrosion on phillips screws.

You need a better bit!  I've had my impact for years and that never happened

That was from a damn stuck screw holding the oil sump line to the engine. I thought I blew it but then one good last whack got it free. But EVERY single screw on this bike looks like mice have been gnawing on them. I have a complete screw set form the guy on here who sells them - it'll be my pleasure to toss all these ones.

I've got the three piece Vessel set. They are great. They work great, but not so well on some of these screws. Obviously someone worked on this bike with a regular phillips head.
