Damn! Oh well, I bet somebody got a bargain, what was the asking price? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Especially for that part of the country.  Probably akin to about $6-700 down here in Texas.  That bike was a steal.

1000 bucks? Geez, you should have snapped that one up William, I would have happily paid you $2K for it, and that would have been a bargain for me! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Note to self: sell bikes to Terry.   Seriously though, the exchange rate is a bit different over there isn't it Terry?  So $2000 over there would be like maybe $1300 over here.  Still a big difference.

Yep, our dollar is taking a dive this week, so it's actually dropped below the greenback for the first time in around a year. No biggie though, when I first started buying bike parts on the net the Aussie dollar was only 59 cents US. The really good thing then was selling stuff to wealthy Americans, I sold my cousin's "Henderson Four" engine to an American buyer for 6000 bucks in 2001, my cuz was in a bad way financially and the $10K that he made from the engine that he paid $2K for was very much appreciated! Cheers, Terry. ;D

I'm still in shock that you didn't pick it up William, you've become somewhat of an entrepreneur in recent times, you should have jumped on it. The only "more collectable" Honda of recent times would have been the iconic CB1100R, followed by the RC30, (or maybe vice=versa) but no-one would have looked down their noses at you on your VF1000R! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Ha ha, yeah Mick, my mate John Hawkes is a CB1100R guy, and a member of the British CB1100R club. Every year he flies to Britain for the Stafford bike show and the club guys take it in turn to pick him up from the airport, give him free accommodation and take him to the show.

A couple of years ago the club member who looked after him showed him his NR750, he freaked his wife out in 2007 by pulling all of his superannuation savings out to buy it, but shortly afterwards his super fund went bust, while his NR is continually appreciating, and he can actually ride it now and then, which is pretty cool too! Cheers, Terry. ;D

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.
