tranny time
« on: May 18, 2012, 11:04:21 AM »
So. I can get into nuetral rocking the wheel in drive direction. Started bike. Couldnt get first. Shifted up and went a foot and locked up. Shifted down and got first. Slowly got to 5 to 10, shift to 2nd locks up wheel, back to first works. Ride back to garage......rock in drive direction, nuetral.....so, can i adjust shift forks from to bottom pan, or is this a case split? What is incorrect also..? Thanks

What did you do different the second time you built it? You got a different result.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Are you selecting gears with the engine on the bench? You do know you need to turn the transmission to properly select the gears. Give the chain sprocket a few turns when trying to select.

This is in bike, trying to break in rings. I can shift up rocking the rear wheel all the way up. Down all the way to nuetral is in first gears position. Maybe the gear selector drum assembly deal? Can't get 1st gear. I think one up was second gear....so that info

Check the round assembly the pins go into. I've no idea what you call it. You are not following the manual.
