Carb rebuild part scource
« on: May 23, 2012, 01:40:25 PM »
I am rebuilding some 1972 CB750K carbs.
The bronze bushings that hold the throttle shaft were causing a lot of corrosion to the shaft. The bearings were also cracked reacting with the aluminum housing.

Kind of a corrosion nightmare. Steel shaft ,bronze bushing, aluminum housing.

I was able to get some PTFE sleeve bushings that can withstand 547ºF.
Now the steel shaft will not be in contact with the bronze and the bronze will not be in contact with the aluminum.

I will post a photo soon and the part number and supplier.
The size is 10mm inside and 13mm outside. They are about 1 inch long.
