82 cb450 what size magneto puller?
« on: February 15, 2014, 03:33:24 PM »
Hello. I'm working on an 82 cb450 nighthawk.

I need to know what size magneto puller I need.

I've searched Ebay but I'm getting results any where from 16mm to 20mm. Not sure which on I need.

And is it reverse thread?

I can't remember the size but I found a spare Honda axle with a thread that was the right size for pulling the flywheel off C92s/C95s. Do you have any spare axles lying around?

these pullers have a left hand thread,an axle wont work, look closely at the thread thats meant for the puller fdbrat,is it left hand?its fine, and will need a close look.

Pretty sure I used my "generic" 18mm x 1.5 puller to do the last 450SC I did.  It's right hand thread.
