I want to "put in a vote for the underdog," the briar brown metallic. My k2 still wears it's original briar brown metallic, though I due plan to repaint the tank eventually due to some age spots, cracking paint, etc. I really like the color of my bike because it's different which allows my bike to jump out from the sea of paints that scream 1970's Honda. Sometimes people don't believe my bike is from the seventies with the briar brown metallic paint because its not a classic seventies shade. I love having a color that is slightly different from the accepted "norm" for these bikes. Briar brown metallic looks sexy in its own way, it's just a matter of taste. Some guys prefer blonds, some guys go nuts for brunettes, etc. In the end, I like being different and making people wonder, "wow I didn't know you could get that color in 1972." My classic mopar is the same way, a 1969 dodge superbee. It's wasn't painted at the factor the typical mopar color of lime green, b5 blue, butterscotch yellow, or hemi orange, instead it left the factory wearing metallic silver and when I repainted it I chose to keep it silver rather than going with one of the eye popping 60's mopar colors I mentioned above. I couldn't be happier because my car gets a lot of attention from classic car people because it is different, "not the norm color" one would expect to find on a 60's era Chrysler musclecar. I have had mopar guys try to buy my car due to the fact that the factory silver color makes my car unusual and attractive. I am sure there are some 750 buyers who would see the briar brown metallic from the same perspective. In the end, you can't go wrong, unusual and sexy, or screaming classic 70's honda paint. There are buyers and fans of both. You just need to decide what paint category makes you happy:
1. The unusual and pretty
or
2. Eye popping classic Honda seventies
Good luck deciding! Let us know what you decide, both options are cool! A coin has two sides each with its own appeal, which side do you like?
