78 CB750F front end with older 750 spoked wheel

I have a 78 CB750F with comstars and I want to run spokes, what year or model do I need to find to do this?

Older 750's had a single disc up front, I would be ok with that as long as it will line up with the 78 caliper or should I find a goldwing front wheel?

what are my options?

the single disc wheel will accept dual discs,you need longer bolts of course.the spoke wheel hub is the same as early wings.

all I need to do is find another disc and bolt it on the right side?

will the spacing be correct for the 78 F Forks?

The F2/F3 (comstar ) rotor spacing, diameter and perhaps thickness is different than a stock 750 spoke wheel setup with an added rotor.  In addition, you  can't bolt a rotor from your comstar wheel onto a spoked hub because the bolt patterns are different. The GL1000 front wheel's rotors will also not line up with your F2/F3 calipers. This is actually not an easy swap to do without a bit of custom machining.  You could bolt on a spoked 750s front forks and wheel with two spoked style leading calipers and rotors and hook this up to your dual disc sized master cylinder but the braking will not be as good as your original setup.  You could also bolt on an entire gl1000 front end  . . . . It is also remotely possible that a spoked cb650 wheel might be useful to your switch but someone else would have to advise you there.  Good luck.

 I run that set up on my bike(78F2 front with early spoked hub/wheel & dual discs). Here's a pic...

The early rotors have to be thinned to 4.5mm, ground and the OD reduced. There is a spacer between the hub and right rotor that is about 2mm thick. The hub was helicoiled and the right side rotor bolt holes countersunk to accept flat head allen bolts (to clear the speedo drive. The left side takes regular bolts. The calipers required some shimming to center up.
