« on: May 26, 2012, 10:56:03 AM »
after two weeks dry time I rubbed my k2 paint and clearcoat that was really clear and shiny with 3000 wetdry with water and a drop of dawn. Turtle wax and  The finish is now slightly hazy.  What can I do to fix this?  compound, suicide what?

McGuire (spelling?) makes a polish just for removing that haze.  Called fine cut.

First. Why did you rub it down after the final coat? This isn't necessary if the final coat was shiny. Try some fine rubbing compound like Meguiars.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

After wet-sanding you need to use a power buffer and real polishing compound, like Meguiar's.  Save the Turtle Wax for after you've gotten the finish flawless to help protect it.

edit:  looks like Rigid beat me to it. :)

Meguiars has good products, but I prefer Griots.  You want a good rubbing compound after 3000 wet sanding, followed by polishing compound, then a good swirl remover. Use a rotary buffer on low speed to prevent burn through. keep it moving.
Wait at least a month before any waxing.
