500/4 gearbox

Hi, does anyone know if you can fit a six speed box in a 1972 500/4, also chasing gearbox parts as i have 3rd gear gone, period 4 race bike, .....located in Australia.........cheers.....

welcome scruff,i have a few 550 bottom ends here,i also have a collection of gear clusters/drums etc.

I have a complete transmission from a 73 cb500-4 I'd sell ya cheap however shipping from US to Down Under might be salty.

It can be done but is not a bolt in by any means. I remember a thread a while back.
