Topic: Confused about mini speedo ratios

 I know the Honda speedometer ratio is 2240:60. I keep seeing a bunch of the mini speedometers with indicators (that's the rub...I'm looking for one that has the oil, neutral and high beam indicator) and the ad will say it's a 2240:60 ratio but the pics clearly show 2:1 stickers on them.

 Will a 2:1 ratio speedometer work with the Honda speedo drive? I though "NO", but there sure are a lot of people selling them.

Maybe they uploaded the wrong pic with the description? I researched the hell out of those mini speedos a few years ago and tracked down the original manufacturer vs. reseller (DCC, etc.). As far as I can remember they offered them in true different ratios and they work, etc. I'll see if I can find the links to the manufacturers. Not sure if I was tracking down the one with the lights built in though.

Here's more part numbers to get confused over... not sure if Drag Specialties is the actual manufacturer, but their part number is 2210-0210 -- Drag Specialties 2.4 in. Mini Mechanical Speedometer 2240:60 ratio.

DCC might be selling that same Drag unit. Their customer service is pretty good. They've got an online chat thing. They will probably confirm if it's that same Drag Specialties part # or at least confirm ratio.

Dime City is just another front end like most of these shops and sell all the time products. Unless it is a specific item or product what you buy at DCC would be the same at Dennis Kirk.

And see now I'm confused... because the one in the DCC link has a black body and the Drag Specialties unit is chrome with black face. I think there are a few different manufacturers making very similar items.

 Since I already have the tach I need in chrome with a black face, I'd prefer the speedo to match. And without that ugly Drag Specialties logo....ugh.

The one on Dennis Kirk doesn't have Drag logo in pics. I know what you mean, I've seen those before too.
